In den Sozial Media Welten laufen Mutproben, die zum Teil lebensgefährlich sind. Warum Jugendliche die Gefahren ausblenden dazu äußert sich eine 16-jährige selbst.

Die Social Media-Plattformen sind wie eine andere Welt. Eine Welt, die jeden für sich einnehmen kann, wenn man es zulässt. Sie beeinflusst uns Jugendliche sehr extrem und ich kann an sich auch verstehen, warum sie das kann. Hier sind Jugendliche unter sich und hier ist egal, was in deinem Leben schiefläuft.
Jedoch gibt es hier mehr Gefahren als wir eigentlich einschätzen können.
Auf TikTok kursieren Challenges wie zum Beispiel die „Deo-Challenge“, die „Zimt-
Challenge“ oder auch die „Blackout-Challenge“. Was versteht man unter diesen Challenges? Die „Deo-Challenge“ könnte man auch als „Verbrennungs-Challenge“ bezeichnen, da man sich so lange Deo auf die Arme und andere Körperteile sprüht, bis man starke Verbrennungen auf der Haut hat.
Das Ziel dieser Challenge ist: Wer hält das am längsten aus?
Das Prinzip der „Zimt-Challenge“ ist einfach: Man nimmt Zimt und schüttet ihn sich in den Mund und in den Rachen … Das war es auch schon. Diese Challenge kann in manchen Fällen bis zur Bewusstlosigkeit führen und es besteht auch Erstickungsgefahr.
Bei der „Blackout-Challenge“ handelt es sich z.B. um eine Challenge, wo man sich bis zur Bewusstlosigkeit stranguliert. Viele tun dies wegen der Klickzahlen, aber auch weil es einen „Kick“ auslösen soll.
Ich habe mich gefragt: Wieso machen Jugendliche solche Challenges, wieso tun die sich diese Dinge an? Anerkennung und die Aufmerksamkeit im Netz sind jedem wichtig, nicht wahr? Ich meine, wer will nicht von vielen Menschen bewundert werden? Viele haben vielleicht auch keine Lösung für ihre Probleme, Sorgen oder Ängste – da bietet die virtuelle Welt Ablenkung und wahrscheinlich auch eine gewisse Fluchtmöglichkeit. Ich habe auch meine Sorgen und Probleme. Meine beste Erfahrung ist, in der realen Welt zu bleiben und die Dinge auch in der realen Welt anzusprechen und zu lösen. Was mir hilft, ist auch mit meinen Eltern zu sprechen. Das ist mein Appell an euch und eure Eltern: redet miteinander, helft euch und geht offen miteinander um!
