Herzlich willkommen, sehr geehrte Damen und Herren, zum heutigen Medienkommentar. Sicher verfolgen auch Sie die Unruhen und Demonstrationen rund um die mögliche Integration der Ukraine in die EU, die sich in Kiew abspielen. Wir wollen heute Abend mal einen genaueren Blick auf die Vorkommnisse in Kiew und die Reaktionen der hiesigen Medien darauf richten: Die "Süddeutsche Zeitung" berichtete am 2. Dezember 2013 von Fernsehbildern, in denen Sondereinsatzkräfte zu sehen sind, die mit Schlagstöcken prügeln und am Boden liegende Menschen mit Füßen treten würden. Am Tag darauf, also am 3. Dezember, las man ims Online-Format der "Berliner Zeitung" von einem bleibenden Unmut und von Tränen der Enttäuschung in den Augen von Demonstranten, nachdem die bestehende Regierung Janukowitsch - dem Präsidenten der Ukraine - eine Misstrauensabstimmung im Parlament überraschend gut überstanden hatte. "Focus Online" berichtete am 11. Januar von einem „Gewaltexzess“ der Spezialeinheit Berkut. Dabei sei der frühere Innenminister Jurij Luzenko von prügelnden Polizisten am Kopf verletzt worden. Am 17. Januar titelte das "Handelsblatt": „Willkommen im neuen Polizeistaat“. Im Online-Artikel steht u.a., dass Helme und Polster, mit denen sich Demonstranten gegen die Knüppel der berüchtigten Spezialeinheit Berkut wehren würden, künftig verboten seien. Diese Meldungen wirken eindrücklich. Doch was passiert fernab von wortgewaltigen Schlagzeilen? Ist die Ukraine wirklich auf dem Weg, zum diktatorischen Polizeistaat zu verkommen oder gibt es allenfalls Gründe für die Polizei-Einsätze? Diese Frage ist gerechtfertigt, denn es gibt einige Live-Videos (siehe Quellen am Schluss), die ein etwas anderes Bild von der Lage in Kiew zeichnen: Die Bilder zeigen, wie Demonstranten beim versuchten Sturm auf das Präsidialamt mit Pflastersteinen, Magnesiumfackeln, Molotov-Cocktails, Spraydosen, Metallstangen, Knüppeln, Knallkörpern, Faustschlägen, Tritten und sogar einem Rad-Lader Polizisten attackieren. Erstaunlich ist dabei, wie diszipliniert und fast ohne Gegenwehr die Sicherheitskräfte trotz der Verletzungsgefahr ausharren. In einem anderen Film sieht man, wie zwei junge Männer unter Morddrohungen der Masse von einem Oppositionspolitiker gezwungen werden, sich auf den Knien vor den Demonstranten auf dem Maidan - dem zentralen Unabhängigkeitsplatz - zu entschuldigen. Auch die Räumung des Maidan Ende November 2013, bei der die Spezialeinheit Berkut Knüppel eingesetzt hatte, ist augenscheinlich auf den gewalttätigen Widerstand der Demonstranten zurückzuführen. Heute nun, am 21. Januar, berichtet auch das St. Galler Tagblatt erstmals von gewaltbereiten, mit Metallknüppeln bewaffneten Demonstranten. Die Berkut-Einheit habe nun die Erlaubnis, zur Verteidigung von der Schusswaffe Gebrauch zu machen. Unabhängig davon, ob der Einsatz der Sicherheitskräfte gerechtfertigt war oder nicht, – warum werden uns solche bedeutenden Informationen konsequent vorenthalten? Die Berichte über die Situation in der Ukraine sind derart einseitig, dass man von einer objektiven Berichterstattung nicht sprechen kann. Genau das wäre aber die Aufgabe der Medien in einer Krise, wie sie momentan in der Ukraine herrscht. Auch im Jahr 2014 scheinen sich die Mainstream-Medien als Helfer jener Kräfte zu entpuppen, die eine Destabilisierung, ja sogar einen Bürgerkrieg in eigenständigen und souveränen Staaten wie der Ukraine vorantreiben. Geschätzte Zuschauerinnen und Zuschauer, helfen Sie mit, das Informations-Monopol unserer Medien zu stoppen! Empfehlen Sie diese Sendung als Gegenstimme zu den gängigen Medienberichten über die Ereignisse in der Ukraine weiter! Und denken Sie darüber nach, wie wohl die Polizei in unseren Ländern reagieren würde und sollte, wenn mit massivster Gewalt der Bundestag in Berlin, das Bundeshaus in Bern oder das Parlamentsgebäude in Wien gestürmt würde.
