Australia: Late-term abortions promoted by the government

In Australia, late-term abortions are promoted by the state, with parents receiving money for the abortion. This involves the so-called "baby bonus". This benefits bereaved parents after the stillbirth of their child. The amount is currently 4,200 Australian dollars. This effectively means that an abortion after the 20th week of pregnancy, which is legal in almost all states, is financially supported by the state. Australian law expert Dr. Joanna Howe says that in the state of South Australia, for example, 75 percent of all late-term abortions are performed on healthy children, who are then declared stillborn and for whom state benefits can be claimed. The Australian online Christian newspaper, The Daily Declaration, wrote that this development raises serious concerns about the value of motherhood, family and the unborn in our society. The origins of "legal" abortion date back to 1882. Aletta Henriëtta Jacobs, a Dutch doctor and women's rights activist, founded the world's first birth control clinic. In 1916, the first birth control clinic was opened in the USA under the direction of Margaret Sanger, an American nurse and women's rights activist. Sanger's continued efforts for birth control eventually led to the founding of Planned Parenthood, which remains the leading abortion organization in the United States today. Margaret Sanger described birth control as facilitating the process of weeding out the unfit and preventing the birth of "defects". This idea of eugenics, i.e. singling out the "different", is therefore the cornerstone of the organization that promotes abortions. Abortion laws are being relaxed in many countries and legalized until shortly before birth. In Australia, women can even make a profit from an abortion.
