The world is transforming. Today more fundamentally and profoundly than ever before. The year 2026 began with sinister omens pointing at rapidly advancing changes First the arrest of Venezuela's President Maduro, the mounting Greenland conflict, the violent unrest in Iran and then the WEF meeting indicating an upcoming redistribution of power. How should we asesss all this? Today Kla.TV engages in a conversation with economy and finance analyst Ernst Wolff. He has proven to be particularly far-sighted and accurate when it comes to geopolitical assessment of events. Mr. Wolff, thank you very much for taking time for this interview. [Ernst Wolff:] Thank you very much for the invitation. [Kla.TV:] Recently, in one of your published interviews [...] or videos, you said that this year's WEF (January 19-23, 2026) was "the prelude to a gigantic upheaval of our world". Would you briefly explain the most important cornerstones of the upheaval you refer to. [Ernst Wolff:] The two most important cornerstones are the fact that our global financial system has reached its end, that we are facing the introduction of a new financial system based on CBDCs – central bank digital currencies. And the other is that the world, the working world, is undergoing a huge upheaval because artificial intelligence is becoming ever more widespread. So we have to reckon with the fact that the working world is changing dramatically and that we will be facing a huge wave of unemployment. And this is exactly what the powerful are preparing for at the moment. And the WEF has had a certain history during the last twelve months. The management has been replaced. Larry Fink is now in charge. This means that the elite in the background has practically taken over the leadership. [Kla.TV:] Yes, let's talk briefly about this Larry Fink once more. Who is he actually? What should people picture? He was or still is with BlackRock. What else can you say about this person? [Ernst Wolff:] Yes, Larry Fink is the founder and CEO of BlackRock. [...] And BlackRock is an asset manager and, as asset manager, the most powerful financial company that has ever existed on earth. During the last century, the financial world was dominated by the big American banks. In the meantime BlackRock has become the main shareholder of all those major banks and wields more power than all these major banks combined. Larry Fink is, that being said, not particularly interesting as a person, because meanwhile BlackRock is based on artificial intelligence, as well. They have a financial data analysis system called Aladdin, which Larry Fink introduced in the 1980s. This is the most powerful and important financial data analysis system in the world. And all central banks are dependent on this financial data analysis system. All large corporations are also dependent on it. So most people are not aware that the entire financial world is now more or less hanging on the intravenious drip-feed of artificial intelligence. [Kla.TV:] Yes, in that case, what is supposed to happen to the population? You always talk about a digital prison. What will the general population have to face? [Ernst Wolff:] The big problem is that we are all becoming more or less transparent, that we are digitally dominated, that we can be totally controlled. So the digital world has now reached the point where it can create personal profiles of every single person in the world. There is a company in the background, that is Palantir. They are particularly important in this context. Palantir organizes the data of all American intelligence agencies, i.e CIA, FBI and NSA. In addition, the data of the American Department of Defense, by now called the Department of War. Palantir also selects the war targets for Ukraine against Russia, it selects the war targets for Israel against Lebanon, against Syria and against the Gaza Strip. So this is a company that has concentrated on collecting all these data. And it has obtained an order by Donald Trump to create files on all American citizens. They are already producing the files for the British in Germany, Palantir has now been employed by several state police forces. So we live in a world in which we are totally digitally controlled. And not for our benefit, of course, but for the benefit of the powerful corporations in the background. [Kla.TV:] And do you fear disadvantages for the population if that's the case? Most people don't even realize that this is happening. There are now more and more of these bonus cards, apps and so on. You're gradually being forced into them. The next step is undoubtedly the digital currency, the CBDCs. And most people are not responding to this. They say, fine, I'll get a percentage when shopping at Lidl's so I'll go along with it. [Ernst Wolff:] Yes, that's the big problem, that many people are not aware of what can happen with this. So, once CBDC is introduced, individual tax rates, individual interest rates can be imposed on each and every one of us. Penalties can be imposed on us. The whole thing may be connected to a social credit system based on the Chinese model. We may also be cut off from all financial flows. That means we will be 100% subjected to the benevolence of the central bank. And you must be aware that the big central banks, whether it's the Federal Reserve, whether it's the ECB or whether it's the Bank of England, they are all controlled by BlackRock, already today. So BlackRock has been their most important advisor since the global financial crisis of 2007, 2008. And they are also connected to this Aladdin platform that I already mentioned. So we would all be dependent on a private company. [Kla.TV:] On the other hand, there are the governments that are now supposed to be introducing this and gradually transferring the power to these financial groups. Are all governments involved in this? You sometimes get the feeling that there are a few exceptions like Iran – or do they act in a coordinated way and perform, as David Icke expresses it, a puppet theater? [Ernst Wolff:] No, no, of course they are coordinating this together, There is also this big fairytale that the BRICS states are taking a stand against the USA. To assess this, you have to look into history a bit. First of all, we were lied to in the First World War. Then we were lied to in the Second World War. And we are being lied to in the same way today. The First World War was presented to us as a fight against German militarism. You have to know that German militarism only emerged then in the struggle with the USA. The First World War was about the succession of the British Empire. The USA won this battle in the First World War. The Second World War was nothing but the a continuation of the First World War. It has to be said, that it is only the official version that the National Socialists in Germany started this Second World War. The National Socialists would never have come to power without the help of the USA. So the basis for the National Socialists' seizure of power was the great crash of 1929. This was deliberately brought about by the Federal Reserve in the USA. So the USA played a major role in building up Adolf Hitler, who was then used as an opponent in the war. Only to then establish their own world domination at the end of the Second World War. And they did this particularly in the financial sector. They introduced their own currency, the dollar, as the reserve currency. What many people don't know is that the idea of a reserve currency was a Nazi idea that the Americans simply adopted. And the Americans now dominate the entire globe. There is no government in the world that is not at least partially depending on the Americans. And that even applies to Iran. So there are always agreements being made in the background. But this also applies to the big governments. This applies to the big countries, to India, to China, to Russia, all of them are working together with the USA in the background. And there is evidence for this. In other words, the new currency to be introduced, the CBDC, the Bank for International Settlements in Basel (BIS) is playing a key role in this. This is the central bank of all central banks. So the really big financial players are working together. And interestingly, the BRICS countries, so Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa, are also represented by this BIS. Four representatives of these countries are even on the board of this bank. So everything is coordinated behind the scenes, just as it was the case during the Second World War. People were "allowed" to wage war against each other. And a lot of people, over 60 million in total, were sent to their deaths. But in the background, the big financiers have agreed and have a common cause. [Kla.TV:] Now, ostensibly there is a battle for resources. The focus is particularly on Africa and South America. How does this relate to this digital agenda? [Ernst Wolff:] Yes, this battle for resources has become very important, especially related to the digital agenda coinciding with the expansion of artificial intelligence. So artificial intelligence - to promote this artificial intelligence, data centers are being built everywhere at an incredible pace and on a huge scale. And certain raw materials are needed for these centers, especially rare earths. And of course a battle has broken out over this. But the real rulers in the background are of course happy that these fights are breaking out between the individual countries, because this distracts people from the fact that there is actually a group in the background that is always coordinating with each other and among themselves. [Kla.TV:] Yes. Then models have recently emerged that divide the world into three power blocs, so to speak, or zones of influence. David Icke has been talking about this for decades. In (Orwell's) "1984" there are these divisions, Oceania, Eurasia, East Asia. And now an alleged map [...] of the Russian General Staff has also emerged, which the German doctor Heiko Schöning has mentioned. He talks about Trumpia, which means the USA, Canada, Greenland and South America - under the influence of Vanguard. Then Putina, meaning Russia and Europe under BlackRock, which you have already mentioned. And Cinia, i.e. China, India, Africa and State Street. These are two other major players. What do you think of such models and how do you assess this presentation? [Ernst Wolff:] Yes, that is a very big misleading of the public. So these three that you mentioned – BlackRock, Vanguard and State Street – are all in cahoots. So Vanguard is the largest shareholder of BlackRock, and BlackRock and Vanguard are in turn the largest shareholders of State Street. So there's a head office somewhere on Wall Street that works together with Silicon Valley and controls the whole thing from behind the scenes. And people are then led to believe that, yes, there are these three big blocs, so that people either support one bloc or the other and don't know that they are all being hoodwinked by this one power in the background. And the great power in the background at the moment is the digital-financial complex. Let me explain very briefly what this is. The digital-financial complex consists on the one hand of Wall Street, and Wall Street has been taken over by the big asset managers. These large asset managers are led by BlackRock, Vanguard, State Street and Fidelity. They have the world's entire financial system under their wings. And then there is a second power that has emerged since the 1970s and has become just as important as the big financial groups. And these are the big IT companies in Silicon Valley. And at the top of the list are the so-called Magnificent Seven. The Magnificent Seven include Apple, Microsoft, Alphabet, Amazon, Nvidia, Google and Tesla. And they exercise their power together with these large asset managers. Interestingly, the largest shareholders of six of these seven large IT groups are BlackRock, Vanguard and State Street. So this is a power in the background that is stronger than any government in the world, and which can of course push any government in the world in whichever direction it wants. [Kla.TV:] Yes. But the different states obviously also play a role. I would like to name a few regions or countries and ask for your assessment about what role these countries have to play? First of all, the three big players are obviously the USA, Russia and China. [Ernst Wolff:] Yes, exactly, as I said, so all three are on the board of the Bank for International Settlements (BIS), and the same agenda is being pursued there. The CBDC has already been introduced in China, where over 300 million Chinese people now have a wallet on their cell phone. In Russia, the digital rouble is now also being introduced under the premise that it is necessary to protect against American sanctions and the SWIFT system. And the same agenda is being pursued in the USA. We have a president who has previously promised that he will not introduce a CBDC, but all his measures in the background serve to prepare this CBDC. So he relies heavily on these cryptocurrencies, on stablecoins [digital currency with a price fixing mechanism]. And stablecoins are nothing more than the preparation of CBDCs through the back door. So these are three big countries that are working together in the background, but are of course fighting each other in the foreground. And what is important here is that this supposed contradiction means that you have to protect yourself against the other. And what does that mean? This simply means that the arms industry has to be ramped up further and further. And we are currently seeing the arms industry being ramped up worldwide on an unprecedented scale, enabling these players in the background to make still more huge profits. [Kla.TV:] Yes. War is now almost taking place in Iran, for example. They are now on the brink of civil war. What role does Iran play in this? [Ernst Wolff:] Iran is quite helpful in this respect, because Iran is also partly or to a large extent, dependent on the US dollar – like every other country in the world. And the USA has ensured that the Iranian currency has come under severe pressure. Then people in Iran started protesting about the lack of and dwindling purchasing power. And the USA then supported this by showing up with agents and driving up the unrest strongly themselves. This is the same thing we experienced in Ukraine. There was also unrest in Ukraine. This was also promoted from outside the country, in order to create a huge amount of unrest there. And of course there are also certain differences between the US and Iran. The USA would of course like to have the entire Iranian oil reserves directly under its wing without anyone interfering. And at the same time, of course, Iran also offers a wonderful excuse to either try out new weapons or to create a whole host of new weapons. And I think that this Iran war will actually take place at some point, because if the Iran war happens, then the oil price will also explode. And the USA has more or less secured sovereignty over the world's non-Iranian reserves. They are now working with this liquid natural gas and have had terminals built everywhere, including here in Europe, for example. Especially here in Germany. And if there is a war with Iran and the Strait of Hormuz is closed, the Americans will be ready with their own gas and oil. [Kla.TV:] Yes, that's a threat. How should Israel be assessed? It is the great antagonist to Iran and is also strongly protected by the USA. What role does it play? [Ernst Wolff:] Yes, the USA has always supported Israel from the outset, but, the fact is meanwhile Israel exerts a very strong influence on American policy. So we have the AIPAC, the American Israel Public Action Committee. This finances, for example, politicians who are sympathetic to Israel in elections. Then we have some people in Silicon Valley who are very sympathetic to Israel, such as Larry Ellison or Elon Musk. So it has to be said that Israel today exerts a very great influence on American foreign policy and even on American domestic policy. [Kla.TV:] Yes, India, what would you say? It also has a certain special status, as if it cannot decide between China and the West, trying to play a dual role. What's going on there? [Ernst Wolff:] Yes, India is one of the great pioneers in the introduction of the new money. With American help, India abolished more than 80 percent of cash - the old cash - overnight in 2016. Several banknotes were declared invalid by Mr. Modi. And that was in cooperation with an organization financed by Bill Gates in the background, the ‘Better Than Cash Alliance’. So in this way, they have more or less become the pioneers in the introduction of CBDCs. They also promised the Indian people back then that the digital rupee would never be programmable. They have changed that meanwhile. Now it has been made programmable. So India is more or less a test laboratory for the introduction of CBDC on a global scale. [Kla.TV:] Very interesting. What about Africa? It seems to be just a raw material supplier or are there other plans? [Ernst Wolff:] Yes, South Africa is also playing along, because South Africa of course still has the very large gold reserves. This is also important, of course, because gold will also play a major role in the future. We can observe that the price of gold has exploded recently. And I assume that this explosion is still in its early stages at the moment. Because when the entire global financial system collapses – and it will collapse, the new financial system will also collapse – people will fall back on what has been regarded as money for more than 3,000 years. And that was gold and silver. So I see a great future for both of them. And those two are raw materials with great deposits in South Africa. That is why South Africa is very interesting for the powerful at the moment. [Kla.TV:] And otherwise there are very strong conflicts of interest on the African continent, also between the USA and China. It's about cobalt, lithium and all of these rare earths. Is this also related to what you said about the digital expansion of AI? [Ernst Wolff:] Yes, for sure. Certainly. So the AI needs all these substances, and there is an incredible battle going on at the moment. And, of course, this is also promoted by those in the background, because it always exaggerates the political differences and people then believe that they can actually make a difference at a political level. But it has to be said that politics today is under so much pressure from these large corporations that nothing at all can be changed politically in the world. As long as this stranglehold of the big corporations, i.e. Silicon Valley and Wall Street, is not broken, nothing will change in the world. [Kla.TV:] You also recently talked about Greenland, that these large data centers are to be built there, far away from the population's access. I recently saw a post that Elon Musk is also planning to move the whole thing into space, ostensibly because there is enough electricity there. But that is of course even more out of reach. Is that the same direction? [Ernst Wolff:] Yes, yes, that's completely insane. But in fact, the powerful realize that they are encountering incredible resistance. So you just have to see, for example, the introduction of CBDC has been tested in Nigeria, previously in the Eastern Caribbean Union, in Jamaica, and so on. And all these attempts have failed. And those in power are currently realizing that the fact that the standard of living of people around the world is being lowered so much precisely because of AI means that resistance to it is also growing against them. And then, of course, they look for places where this resistance is less likely to affect them. And Greenland is of course ideal because nobody can come to Greenland. There will be no demonstrations in Greenland, nor will there be any acts of sabotage, as is now feared in Venezuela, for example, against American oil companies. So there you're disconnected from the world. And if the whole thing is then continued in space, then you have finally decoupled yourself from the rest of humanity and can then exercise your power unhindered. So that's the insane fantasy that is obviously also running through the mind of Elon Musk, who has now become the richest man in the world with his 800 billion. [Kla.TV:] Yes, but you say that the new financial system will also collapse. What signs do you see of this? [Ernst Wolff:] The big problem is that money just doesn't work that way. Money does not simply consist of sets of data. Money has evolved over 3,000 years. And money developed from the barter economy. And that was always about real values. And that is the big problem in our time, that we are also dealing with unreal values. For instance, one of these unreal values is Bitcoin [the first and strongest digital currency on the world market]. This is nothing other than a data set that is not linked to any physical values. Those in power have realized by now that this is not working properly. And that is why they have now switched to stablecoins. Stablecoins have the property that they are tied to a real value somewhere. And that shows me where the whole thing is going. The fact that these old values are now actually being used. And for me, this is also the main driver of the incredible price explosion that we have seen in the precious metals sector in recent months. It's not just about gold and silver, but also about copper and other materials, such as brass and other conductors. So there is a change in the mindset of the powerful, who are suddenly realizing that you really can't rule the world with pure data sets. And the next thing is, if we notice this slump in jobs worldwide due to AI, and it will actually affect millions of jobs, so millions of people will become unemployed all over the world, then we will have no choice but to introduce a universal basic income. And this universal basic income will then have to be spent in large quantities. And of course these will only be data records. This will then be issued in the form of CBDCs. And the industry will of course very quickly realize that if people have an individual basic income, which may also have an expiration date, they will have a certain amount of income that may have to be spent within 30 days. And then, of course, they will adjust their prices. And this will immediately lead to an inflationary spiral, which will move from normal inflation to runaway inflation and ultimately to hyperinflation. And that means that the new system will collapse, even if it initially meets with great enthusiasm among the lower income groups. Because they will say, wonderful, if the government now gives me 1,000 or 2,000 euros a month, then my life will be on a secure footing. None of this is true. So this life, this money, will then be devalued very quickly. We will reach Weimar conditions and purchasing power will dwindle very quickly. [Kla.TV:] And if people then rebel against it, then civil war-like conditions arise. But the fact is that the powerful have entrenched themselves, so they are in Greenland or somewhere else and are not as tangible as a national government, which could perhaps be attacked with demonstrations or other actions. What advice do you have for people concerning how they can prepare for this situation and do something to prevent this power monopoly from spreading? [Ernst Wolff:] The most important thing here is actually to partially leave the digital sphere. The digital sphere is controlled by these large corporations and the big financial giants. And then you actually have to say goodbye to it. And it is guaranteed that we will experience large parallel societies. People will notice how their standard of living is being forced further and further to its knees. And people will then say, so who are the real culprits? They will recognize this at some point. And then they will say goodbye to these large platforms. But they will of course ensure that other new platforms will also have a hard time in the digital sphere. And I think we will then experience a time when the digital sphere will no longer be so important, but when the analog sphere will become important again. So, I can only recommend that everyone today should prepare for these times. I firmly believe that silver, for example, will play a major role in everyday life. Because if the CBDC is introduced and people oppose it, i.e. if they don't want to use it, or if the CBDC actually loses value due to inflation, then people will no longer be able to fall back on cash, because cash will either be completely abolished or banned by then. But then, in my opinion, people will start using silver coins again in everyday life. That's why I always advise people today to keep a supply of silver coins and to keep a certain amount of cash at home for the transitional period. Because we are currently facing a major new banking crisis due to all the problems in the background. And then we will experience "bank holidays", for example. When you will no longer be able to get cash from ATMs either. And for this transitional phase, it is important to have about two to three months' worth of cash at home. But for the next phase, I strongly recommend getting silver coins. [Kla.TV:] Apart from personal precautions, you obviously also need networks with which you can get together, where you know each other, which are not digital, where you can also help each other through difficult times. [Ernst Wolff:] That's very important. Networking is incredibly important, networking with like-minded people. So I think anyone who goes through life as a lone fighter will have great difficulties because we are facing this huge turbulence. But I think it's very important to expand these networks today and to prepare for the fact that these networks won't actually run digitally. So that you go back to old ways of getting information, that you, I don't know, pick up the old flyers again, pick up a sheet of paper, pick up a notepad to prepare for a time when the whole Internet might actually be shut down completely. Because I actually believe that the powerful have their backs so far against the wall that they will actually resort to such extreme measures, such as a global cybercrash. [Kla.TV:] Which we have already seen as a harbinger, in Iran. This can also happen. [Ernst Wolff:] Exactly. [Kla.TV:] Yes, Ernst Wolff, thank you very much for this assessment. It was very enlightening that you don't allow yourself to be blinded by the battles in the foreground, but instead look at the real causes. And also your plea for analog. Many thanks for that!
