Për një kohë të gjatë, bujqësia globale ka pësuar ndryshime ekstreme, të cilat gjithashtu po përshpejtohen. Korporatat e mëdha bujqësore po kontrollojnë gjithnjë e më shumë bujqësinë dhe investitorët e fortë financiarisht po blejnë tokë bujqësore në mbarë botën. Në të njëjtën kohë, politika bujqësore po shkatërron bujqësinë tradicionale duke i detyruar fermerët e vegjël të heqin dorë me ndihmën e rregulloreve të panumërta. Kursi për një tjetër - dhe siç e quan gazetari i biznesit Frederick William Engdahl - një "sulm i gjithanshëm i koordinuar" kundër bujqësisë sonë - u vendos në fund të vitit 2022 në samitin e G20 në Bali dhe në konferencën e OKB-së për klimën në Egjipt. Në përputhje me objektivat e Axhendës 2030, përfaqësuesit e shteteve të G20-s kërkuan kalimin e përshpejtuar drejt bujqësisë së qëndrueshme dhe elastike. Bujqësia duhet t'i përshtatet ndryshimeve klimatike dhe të arrijë "emetimet neto zero të gazeve serrë" deri në mesin e shekullit. Këto synime u specifikuan më pas në konferencën e OKB-së për klimën. Duke përshtatur bujqësinë ndaj ndryshimeve klimatike, ushqimi i shëndetshëm duhet gjithashtu të promovohet në mënyrë eksplicite në mënyrë që të reduktohen kostot e ndryshimeve klimatike dhe shëndetit deri në 1.3 trilion dollarë amerikanë. Në pamje të parë, këto synime duken të sakta. Megjithatë, me një inspektim më të afërt, mësohet ndryshe. Shtysa për këtë vjen nga nisma FAIRR, një koalicion me bazë në Mbretërinë e Bashkuar i menaxherëve të investimeve ndërkombëtare. Prandaj, do të kërkohet një reduktim drastik i blegtorisë globale. Për ta zbatuar këtë, OKB-ja u bashkua me Forumin Ekonomik Botëror në 2019 dhe tani po ndjek strategjinë e shfuqizimit të "burimeve të proteinave të mishit" dhe zëvendësimit të tyre me produkte vegane, mish laboratori ose burime alternative të proteinave nga milingonat, kriketat ose krimbat. Në të njëjtën kohë, WEF po përdor ndikimin e saj për të reduktuar blegtorinë në mbarë botën. Tre shembuj: 1. Kryeministri holandez Mark Rutte, një udhëheqës global i WEF, dëshiron të reduktojë rrënjësisht bagëtinë holandeze me 30% në emër të klimës, mjedisit dhe mirëqenies së kafshëve. 2. Kërkesat më strikte të ligjeve gjermane për mbrojtjen e klimës mund të arrihen vetëm me një reduktim drastik të popullatave të kafshëve. Kjo do të thotë: fillimisht me një të katërtën deri në vitin 2030 dhe me më shumë se gjysmën deri në vitin 2040. 3. Në emër të mirëqenies së kafshëve, Ministri Federal i Bujqësisë Cem Özdemir aktualisht dëshiron të rregullojë me ligj blegtorinë e gjelit të detit. Meqenëse kjo nuk mund të operohet më ekonomikisht si rezultat, e gjithë blegtoria gjermane e gjelit të detit kërcënohet me fund. Ashtu si Angela Merkel dhe Annalena Baerbock, Cem Özdemir është gjithashtu një udhëheqës i ri global i WEF. Nëse keni parasysh se përafërsisht 60% e të ardhurave nga fermat vijnë nga blegtoria, reduktimi i detyruar i kafshëve do të thotë një "vdekje e fermës" e mëtejshme në një shkallë të paprecedentë. Meqenëse mishi artificial dhe produktet e insekteve sigurisht që nuk prodhohen në ferma të vogla, por industrialisht, përfitues të këtij zhvillimi ka të ngjarë të jenë korporatat e mëdha dhe kapitali i madh pas tyre. Këto zhvillime kërcënuese për jetën prekin të gjithë. Megjithatë, ngjarjet në Holandë na mësojnë se plane të tilla mund të ndalen. Pas muajsh protestash nga fermerët kundër politikave të Mark Rutte, ata ia dolën të mbyllin radhët me popullsinë. Së bashku ata themeluan një parti të qytetarëve fshatarë, e cila u bë menjëherë forca politike më e fortë në zgjedhjet provinciale në mars 2023. Si rezultat, politikat e Mark Rutte u ndëshkuan plotësisht, që do të thotë se të gjitha planet e tij të reformës tani papritmas po lëkunden.
