EU Parliament declares abortion a fundamental right Are we aware of what they are doing?
On 24 June 2021, the EU Parliament in Brussels set an official EU directive on abortion as a fundamental right, which EU states should use as a basis for their legislation. In fact, this means that unborn babies can be aborted with impunity until shortly before birth. Clinics and doctors who refuse abortions are to be suspended or prosecuted.

On May 31, 2021, Kla.TV reported on a motion in the German Bundestag from March 4, 2021 to "secure the right to physical and sexual self-determination" [kla.tv/18896]. Those who did not have a clue about what this meant, or those to whom it even sounded reasonable , were informed in the program about the actual motives and background behind this decision:which was to declare abortion as a human right, and as such until shortly before birth! The unprecedented confusion of this call, namely to justify the the denial of life as a human right, was resolved in the program by the brutal facts.
The big and worrying question of whether the Bundestag would agree to such a demandwas literally up in the air. Now the EU Parliament in Brussels has set the official EU directive on abortion as a human right by approving the so-called Matic Report on 24 June 2021. In this report, Croatian MEP Predrag Fred Matic declares the killing of unborn children to be a normal health service for women, thus elevating it to a fundamental right. "Disappointment" is expressed in this report that in some countries doctors and clinics are allowed to use a conscience clause that allows them to refuse to perform an abortion for religious or other reasons. Prof. Dr Paul Cullen, President of the Association "Doctors for Life", interprets this as an alarm signal for European doctors. The national chairperson of "Aktion Lebensrecht für Alle" (ALFA), Cornelia Kaminiski, called this EU decision "a disgrace for Europe".
The following rights are defined through anti-discrimination, for which the EU sees itself responsible:
- Right to freely define one's own sexuality, gender identity
- Free choice of sexual partners
- Right to freely decide whether, when and by what means someone wants to have a child
- The entire range of reproductive medicine options from in vitro fertilization toegg and sperm donation, as well as surrogacy
-The explicit right to "safe and legal abortion services".
On the other hand, one looks in vain for the child's right to life. Rather, it is requested that all obstacles to abortion in the EU states be removed. ‘Right-to-life’ organizations would then have to stop their work. Doctors who refuse to perform an abortion for ethical reasons should be suspended or prosecuted.
The lawyer Jean-Paul Van de Walle, who works for the human rights organization ADF International in Brussels, notes that the decision in Brussels cannot be compared to a legal regulation. The decision has no "binding effect" for member states, European citizens or European institutions.
Accordingly, the individual EU states and their citizens are responsible for themselves. However, it remains to be seen how the respective countries will react to EU demands in the future t by way of protecting their unborn protégés.
One can only hope that everyone who sees himself as a human being and yet agrees or still wants to agree to "abortion as a human right" will be condemned by his conscience due the brutal reality of this decision.
Sven von Storch sums it up like this: "24 June 2021 will go down as one of the darkest days in the history of the EU: On that day, the assembled Parliament declared that killing children in the womb and denying them the right to life is a human right. This decision no longer has anything to do with politics: it is a step backwards into the deepest barbarism, where a human life is worth nothing."
