Giá cả tăng cao trong hầu hết các lĩnh vực của cuộc sống - các phương tiện thông tin đại chúng viện dẫn đủ loại lý do cho việc này nhưng lại bỏ qua nguyên nhân chính: hệ thống nợ tiền tệ mà hầu hết các quốc gia trên thế giới đều vướng vào. Chủ đề lạm phát thường xuyên được đưa tin trên các phương tiện truyền thông chính thống. Tỷ lệ lạm phát ở Đức đã tăng đột biến một cách đáng ngạc nhiên. Giá cả hàng hóa và dịch vụ tăng trung bình 2,0% - trong khi tiền lương và tiền công vẫn giữ nguyên. Nhìn chung, lạm phát cao đã gây ra những thách thức lớn cho các hộ gia đình Đức trong năm qua – theo một nghiên cứu được TeamBank AG Nuremberg ủy quyền. Điều này đặc biệt đúng khi giá thực phẩm tăng. Ví dụ, giá dầu ô liu đã tăng 108% kể từ tháng 6 năm 2021, giá đường đã tăng 74% kể từ năm 2021 và giá khoai tây tăng 49,2%. Giá bánh mì tăng khoảng 37% từ năm 2019 đến năm 2024 – đây chỉ là một vài con số đáng kể. Ngoài việc tăng giá điện và giá sưởi ấm, 52% người Đức cảm thấy chịu ảnh hưởng nhiều nhất bởi tình trạng tăng giá trong lĩnh vực thực phẩm. Các phương tiện truyền thông đại chúng luôn đưa ra đủ mọi lý giải nghe có vẻ hợp lý về nguyên nhân. Tuy nhiên, điều thú vị là có một nguyên nhân luôn bị tránh né, nhưng có lẽ đó là một trong những nguyên nhân quan trọng nhất, vì nó ảnh hưởng như nhau đến mọi khía cạnh của cuộc sống: Mối liên hệ giữa giá cả tăng cao và hệ thống tiền tệ dựa trên nợ của chúng ta – một hệ thống tiền tệ có tác động rất lớn đến giá cả hàng hóa, dịch vụ và thực phẩm! Mức độ này có thể thấy rõ ở Hoa Kỳ. Nợ quốc gia ở đó đã ở mức 32,9 nghìn tỷ USD vào năm 2023. Ngay từ năm 2024, họ đã phải trả số tiền đáng kinh ngạc hơn một nghìn tỷ đô la Mỹ chỉ để trả lãi nợ quốc gia! Lãi suất hiện là khoản có giá trị cao thứ hai trong ngân sách Hoa Kỳ sau chi tiêu xã hội và các chuyên gia dự đoán rằng chúng sẽ sớm trở thành khoản mục ngân sách lớn nhất. Theo IMF, trên bình diện quốc tế, nợ chính phủ toàn cầu sẽ vượt mốc 100 nghìn tỷ đô la (!) vào cuối năm 2024. Gánh nặng nợ khổng lồ này liên quan thế nào đến mức giá tăng hiện nay, bạn có thể nghe trong bài giảng của AZK được phát sóng vào năm 2013 nhưng vẫn còn rất thời sự.
