Dje ishin automjetet me naftë, sot janë lopët që po shkatërrojnë klimën dhe për këtë arsye supozohet se ushqehen me ushqim laboratorik. Pavarësisht dëmit të mundshëm për produktet e qumështit dhe për rrjedhojë për konsumatorët e tyre, Bill Gates dëshiron të nxisë zhvillimin dhe shpërndarjen e këtij ushqimi për kafshët. Por cilët janë fajtorët e vërtetë të rritjes së CO₂, të ashtuquajturit vrasës të klimës? Konsumatorët dhe bagëtitë vuajnë, ndërsa mëkatarët e vërtetë të klimës mund të vazhdojnë të tregojnë një fytyrë të guximshme...

Që në vitin 2023, Bill Gates investoi disa milionë përmes kompanisë së tij BEV [Breakthrough Energy Ventures] në startup-in australian Rumin8. Rumin8 është duke punuar në një aditiv ushqimor të rritur në laborator që është krijuar për të reduktuar ndjeshëm emetimet e metanit nga lopët. Arla Foods, një kompani danezo-suedeze, së bashku me rrjetet britanike të shitjes me pakicë Tesco, Aldi dhe Morrisons dhe furnizuesit e tyre të qumështit, kanë nxjerrë tashmë në qarkullim një produkt me veprim të ngjashëm të quajtur Bovaer [nga DSM-Firmenich]. Bovaer [konsiderimi i dyoksidit të siliconit, propilen glycol dhe kompleksi organik 3-nitrooksipropanool] kanë përdorur partnerët e tyre fermerë si ushqim për për 5 vjet. Një nga përbërësit organikë në Bovaer [3-niroxypropanol] u klasifikua nga Agjensia e Standardeve Ushqimore të MB si: gërryese për sytë, irritante të lëkurës dhe potencialisht e dëmshme ndaj inhalimit. Është një çështje shqetësimi se mjeti dyshohet të hyjë në qumësht dhe në prodhimet e mëposhtme, si kosi e gjalpi, e si pasojë edhe te njerëzit. Por megjithë dëmtimin e mundshëm, Gates dëshiron të tregtojë edhe Rumin8, aditivin e tij për ushqimin e ushqimit, në Britaninë e Madhe, pasi produkti i tij më i rëndësishëm bujqësor është qumështi. Pronarët e fermës së gjedhëve në Hill Beef nga Cornwall e komentojnë këtë satirilly si më poshtë: Kur po flisnim për të ushqyer Bovaerin me lopët e bulmetit, donim të kishim mundësinë të shpjegonim pse besojmë se lopët tona duhet të zvogëlojnë emetimet e tyre metan: Lopët tona kanë katër avionë privatë, një avion uji dhe një helikopter. Investimet e këtyre lopëve, duke përfshirë udhëtimet, jahtet dhe pasuritë e paluajtshme, janë përgjegjëse për pak më shumë se 6 milionë ton emetime të CO2. Oh jo, më vjen keq! Ky është Bill Gates, për fat të mirë lopët tona nuk kanë aeroplanë ose helikopterë. Ata e kalojnë gjithë kohën duke ngrënë bar në kullotë. Ben Leo, moderatori i GB News, komentoi këtë skandal si më poshtë: “Më duket e mjerueshme që konsumatorët britanikë dhe madje edhe lopët po përdoren si derra gini për lojën e fundit të Frankenstein. ...Konsumatorët dhe bagëtitë vuajnë, ndërsa mëkatarët e vërtetë të klimës mund të vazhdojnë të tregojnë një fytyrë të guximshme."
