Wie zich laat meevoeren door de stroom van het leven, wordt in de Bijbel een zoon van God genoemd. Het lied van de familie Sasek, "Zonen van God staan op”, richt zich dan ook tot iedereen die niet alleen wil toekijken, maar bereid is om op te staan en deel uit te maken van de verandering. “Zonen van God staan op” is geen religieus lied in de klassieke zin, maar een oproep aan mensen die voelen dat deze tijd verandering nodig heeft. Lijdende mensen roepen om God, de lijdende schepping roept om de zonen van God. Dit lied geeft hun verlangen een stem.
